Performance Requirements

The United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps offers a wide variety of performances by which to experience the sights and sounds of our earliest patriots. From intimate small performances of our Historic Music Ensembles to arena-sized presentations seen in Military Tattoos, there is something to fit your venue and distinct performance requirements. Sounds of Liberty Presentation 6 Performers (2 Fifes/Flutes, 2 Bugles/Trumpets, 1 Sanre Drum, 1 Bass Drum, Announcer) 25 feet wide by 15 feet deep This performance requires audio/visual capabilities as well as amplification for announcer. Please contact our Education Department to learn more.
Special Performances Requirements as determined by requestor. Please contact the Fife and Drum Corps' Operations Office to discuss special performance requests.
* When presenting the colors in conjunction with a marching Color Guard, please request the participation of an Old Guard or Joint Service Honor Guard Colors team from the Military District of Washington.
** The Corps provides an announcer for Small Team and Large Team Show performances. Arrangements should be made for proper amplification for the announcer.
*** This performance is reserved for extremely large venues and requires special approval.

Inclement Weather

Unfortunately, the Corps cannot perform outdoors in inclement weather due to the risk of damaging our instruments and uniforms. If there is no indoor, or otherwise sheltered, performance venue, the Corps will not be able to perform.
