  History of the Corps

For over 50 years The United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum corps has entertained millions of spectators worlwide with music that once inspired Revolutionary War Patriots. Formed from Infantry Soldiers of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), the Corps' humble beginnings are now in sharp contrast to the integral role the unit performs as a national musical ambassador.

The following video was produced for the Corps' 50th Anniversary and is a brief look into our history, music, and service. Over the decades more than 500 proud men and women have served within the ranks for the Unit. It is the valued contributions of these Soldiers that has made the Fife and Drum Corps what it is today: A True American Treasure.
