SSG Shaina Rush
U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps

Staff Sergeant Shaina Rush is a native of Colorado Springs, CO. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and did her graduate studies at the University of Northern Iowa and Colorado State University. SSG Rush joined the corps in early 2020 and previously served as a flute player in the First Armored Division Band in Fort Bliss, TX. She has toured extensively throughout the Southwestern and Midwestern Regions of the United States, as well as overseas, to include China, New Zealand, and Australia. In addition to her classical training, SSG Rush spent time as an instrument repair technician and early childhood music teacher. In her free time, SSG Rush enjoys teaching in her private studio, cooking, and spending time with her dog.
